Block of the Month

On March 27 there was a special sew day, focussing on supporting Ukraine refugees with blocks in their countries colours. Please see the SEW DAY page on the website for more details.

Please bring your finished blocks to the May general meeting.

Hope for Ukraine

The current situation in Ukraine has turned our attention there as the situation worsens daily.  The national flower of Ukraine is the Sunflower, a symbol of hope and light.  This block was to be the final block offered for the “Journey” BOM quilt, the light at the end of the COVID tunnel, but I have re-imagined it against the colours of the Ukrainian flag.  The pattern is being offered on the RVQG website for anyone who wishes to make it.

Please CLICK HERE to see the instructions for this block.
