The weather co-operated, and we had a large turn-out on Monday. Our guest speaker was Tiffany Tuttle, who shared her extensive trunk show and passion for quilting with us:
I think we were all charmed by her enthusiasm! The presentation was lively and well-received. You can find better pictures of the presentation, and many of the quilts, on Tiffany's blog here.
The Bee Night ladies displayed some of their disappearing nine patch quilts that were made for Quilts from the Heart. These are the same kits that you can pick up from Carole, although the fabrics may vary:
For the next Bee Night on February 11, 2013, Dorothy will be teaching the four-sided placemat:
There is still room for more in this class, so please contact Janet or Terry to sign up.
Terry also brought in her completed sailboat Block of the Month from last time:
Terry has been finishing all her blocks as mini quilts, which is a good alternative if you don't want to make a large quilt. The next Block of the Month is for April:
You can find this pattern, and all the previous Block of the Month patterns, on the Block of the Month page here.
In other news, two new workshops and a new Presidents' Challenge were announced. Watch for more details on them soon. And as always, the Show & Tell photos will be posted next week. Happy sewing!
