On the heels of the delicious pot luck everyone enjoyed last night.....as we enter the season of eating (yay!) I figured I would let you all know the following....no need to feel any guilt!

Happy foggy Sunday, after rainy Saturday and snowy/cold/windy everything else!

A reminder for our Holiday meeting - we are in the messy shoe season - please bring slippers or indoor shoes instead of dirtying the floors of the church, additionally the tile will get slippery if wet.

Posted earlier were some hints/homework/to do items related to our meeting, also printed in the newsletter, I am sure you have all read those.  I wanted to draw your attention to one item which you may have forgotten - the mug rug challenge!  Tomorrow is the perfect night to bring a mug rug (along with your plate, cutlery, mug and placemat if you want!), so bring on, or a spare, and enter it into the mug rug challenge!

The challenge is still open, the winner will be drawn and prize awarded tomorrow night.  So you have time to join in.  The rules are pretty simple - your mug rug should be no larger than 7x9 inches in size and can be any theme or technique, or combination of techniques you choose.  Make it yourself and stick a sticker on the back with your name - thats it!

See you all tomorrow night!

November Bee Night Update, January Project

Many thanks to all 22 guild members who came out for our November 10th Bee Night, for Quilts of Valor, under the direction of of very own Lily Earley.
We all dug in and pressed, sewed, cut and worked our way to creating what we hope will be treasured quilts to honour some very special members of our military. Thank you everyone, and thank you Lily for all of your efforts preparing our quilt kits!  If you wish to continue completing these quilts, please speak to Lily at our next general meeting.
Thank you also to those who have already volunteered to complete one at home.

In January, we will be turning our thoughts to " applique".  Come out on Jan. 12th to our next Bee Night to learn about machine applique and create your very own pillow, with Annemarie Kaufman.  Be sure to sign up at our November General Meeting.
Just a friendly reminder to everyone to please park in the lower parking lot for Bee Nights.  There is direct access to our workroom and no stairs to navigate!

We are looking for a new Bee Night Co-ordinator(s) , as our term is coming to an end in June, 2015.   Please consider joining in the fun.  No previous experiece needed!
It's a social night out with like-minded quilters like yourself.  Come see us at the Bee Night table and find out more!
Wishing you all happy stitching!
